http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. June 8, 2012. Chicken and Basil Ravioli with Veggies in a Garlic Sauce. The other day I was able to harvest the first veggies from my garden! It was a very exciting day! As a side note, I tried out a new pasta dough recipe and did not like it so in the future it will be back to the old standby. Pasta dough, rolled out thinly. 1/4 - 1/2 c cooked and shredded chicken. 4 large basil leaves, sliced. 2 T olive oil. 6-8 cloves garlic, minced.

Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice: Pumpkin Soup
http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2013/01/pumpkin-soup.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. January 2, 2013. This fall I tried my hand at roasting and pureeing my own pumpkins. It was a smashing success! I'd intended it to make some pie, but ended up in a savory mood. Immediately, my 2011 trip to Sedona came to mind. At the Wildflower Bread Company I had the most fantastic pumpkin soup. I needed more. Sedona's now a few thousand miles away, so I had to make my own, based off of this. 1 T olive oil. 2 sticks celery, diced. Rebecca'...

Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice: January 2013
http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. January 6, 2013. Butternut Squash and Tomato Soup. I admit it, I've been on a bit of a soup kick lately. I don't usually make soups, but I've realized this is because The Husband and I largely do not agree on soup styles. He's big on stews and the like, and while I can eat a bowl of those, I cannot eat the leftovers. Well, with him gone, I can make whatever soups I want! 1/2 onion, diced. 5 carrots, sliced. 3 ribs celery, diced. I'd intende...

Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice: January 2012
http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. January 18, 2012. I apologize for the long hiatus, but we spent all of December moving again. We're still not all unpacked here at the new place, but I made the kitchen a priority. It's the only room in the house that is 100% functional. With that said, I'll kick off my return to blogging with this month's HH6 challenge (due to the holidays there was no December challenge so I didn't miss one)! Yeah, that never happened. 1 jalapeno, seeded ...

I've just been incredibly slow on the blogging front. And I started having trouble with some of my photos, which just won't do. And yadda yadda yadda. Enough on the excuses. I was going to use them! And boy am I glad I did! 3 small heirloom tomatoes, diced. 1/2 small onion, diced. 1/2 bell pepper, diced. 2 cloves garlic, minced.

Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice: December 2012
http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. December 13, 2012. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I'm always looking for new recipes to add to the meal. Recipes from family are even more special. This one comes to me from my cousin, with a little spicy tweaking on my part. I think next year I will try making my own shells, but the pre-packaged ones are easy when you're cooking a full meal and working full time! 1/2 onion, chopped. 4 garlic cloves, chopped. 188; c thyme, chopped.

Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice: April 2012
http://glacial-ice.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Cheeseburger in Glacial Ice. Recipes from the Frozen Northlands. April 20, 2012. April's HH6 challenge was to. Pick a recipe or dish from a HH6 blogger's blog to prepare. So I went trolling around on blogs for a while. With the insanity of my life lately, I needed something easy. I also happened to have some pork chops in the fridge and a desperate craving for root beer floats. It all came perfectly together when I found the Root Beer Grilled Pork Chops. And then my Traeger broke. 1 can root beer. Muffin...
