The Social Home: Dollar Store Spice Cupboard
http://thesocialhome.blogspot.com/2012/03/dollar-store-spice-cupboard.html
Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Dollar Store Spice Cupboard. My spice cupboard has looked like this for far too long. I'm a bit of a cheapo and haven't found a nice spice rack (or even spice containers) that I like enough to spend the thirty plus dollars that they cost. And so, my spices stayed looking like this, which, in my somewhat OCD kitchen, is quite the eye sore. After living with this mish mash for over two years (eek! And then, of course, came the labels! I'm a labeler, though and through. I had bo...

Backwoods Babe: Lamps & Spray Paint
http://backwoodsbabe.blogspot.com/2012/03/lamps-spray-paint.html
Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Lamps and Spray Paint. I ran in Goodwill last Friday to see what they had, and found the brass and white lamp. Ironically, I had a lamp just like this in my bedroom as a teenager. My mom probably paid about 12.00 for it at Walmart in the 90's, I got this one for 6.00. I found some paintable caulk and used it to seal the crack. We stopped by Walmart again Saturday night and I picked up another can of yellow spray paint. Here they are after I got a few more coats on today. March 29...

Low Country Living: Play Kitchen!
http://lowcountryliving-sc.blogspot.com/2012/03/play-kitchen.html
Friday, March 9, 2012. This year we wanted to get our daughter a play kitchen for Christmas. We loved the PB ones but definitely couldn't part with that much money (we could have gotten her real appliances and opened a bakery out of her room! We looked around a bit and started to get DIY fever once again. The thought of being able to customize the pieces was too much so Dave offered to make them. We got the inspiration for the farmhouse sink here. The fridge and stove came from these Lowe's plans. Januar...

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my Salvation." -Habakkuk 3:18. Why I Will Joy? Wednesday, March 28, 2012. DIY: Milk Glass- but not. I love milk glass things. Who doesn't? But to be honest, I am just way to cheap to buy it. So Enter the thrift store, where I picked up these vases because I loved their shapes. Add some white spray paint- just cause it smells good. I'M KIDDING, PEOPLE. This one is my favorite. And call it good for those plant shelves! But, I love this. March 29, 201...
