Monday, 25 May 2015. 5th day Lords 25/05/15. The first part of the day didn’t go to plan, quick runs didn’t come, Cook was out for 162, Ali made 43 but England were all out for 345. As an England fan I felt confident we couldn’t lose but how nervous would the kiwis make us? No, Wood bounced out BJ and Root snared Corey. The game was up, NZ hung around a bit but eventually all out for 220 and England had won a brilliant test match. The stats; 40 wickets for 1610 runs in five full days of cricket. England ...

Stuff & Cricket: Edgbaston and on...
http://alittlebitofaread.blogspot.com/2015/08/edgbaston-and-on.html
Saturday, 1 August 2015. Three tests, three thrashings, England lead the series 2-1 that's the very good news. The dark cloud is an injury to Jimmy that will see him miss the next match at least. Finn played and had his best match for England. He looked superb and should be a confident new ball partner for Broad at Trent Bridge, this could be the making of him. Bell's move up to three proved a success in this match, Root continues to be in the form of his life and Ali scored vital runs with the tail again.

Monday, 13 July 2015. Nobody saw that coming! England’s entire team contributed to a comfortable England within four days. Australia out played in all departments. Wow! England edged the first two days then dominated the last two for an emphatic win. Australia have a rude awakening, Just like England did in November 2013…. Or on the other hand, England won the first test well in 1997 but were battered thereafter. Could this Australian team do they same? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I've spent the ...

Stuff & Cricket: England have won the Ashes!
http://alittlebitofaread.blogspot.com/2015/08/england-have-won-ashes.html
Sunday, 9 August 2015. England have won the Ashes! Three weeks ago the Ashes series stood at 1-1 and the force seemed to be with Australia, surely there fearsome bowling attack would continue to rout England while their batsmen piled on the runs? Well it didn't quite work out like that! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Tories just sanctioned a blind man for not being able to read. Stuff & Cricket: February 2015
http://alittlebitofaread.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 February 2015. Only a month left. Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have finally signed to fight in what will be the richest boxing match ever made. In my heart I’d love to see Manny knock ‘money’ out cold but my head says Mayweather will win on points. I’m not sure what this bird is, I think it might be an immature Buzzard but it’s not the first time I’ve seen a big bird of prey with this colouration in Norfolk. Monday, 16 February 2015. The World cup is a marathon that finishes on 29.

Stuff & Cricket: December 2014
http://alittlebitofaread.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 7 December 2014. I was in Australia at the time and at the SCG when England thrashed Australia with a great all round performance from Ian Botham’s, possibly his last man of the match in international cricket? A quick update; A few days have passed and England have played two more ODIs, winning won then losing the next in the final over. A few positives and good performances but still no closer to knowing what our best XI is. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Maddionette's Mix - 29/11/16. Harmony by Ca...

Tuesday, 25 August 2015. The Oval and on. Most of the Aussie runs were scored by Smith with 143 and Warner 85, if the top three don't get them the middle order won't! Going into the series hardly anyone predicted an England win, even I, a most biased England supporter, couldn't believe we'd win but I was optimistic enough to say ". This first match is crucial and if England can come out of it undefeated I think England have a chance in this series and if we play well we can beat Australia.". Bairstow cam...

Monday, 28 July 2014. There were a few things going on to ease us into the festival. We caught one song from Miles Hunt (formerly of the Wonderstuff) in the Literary tent before Alex Horne. 8221;, not my kind of thing really but quite nice in the setting. A quick mention for the beautiful sunset that descended upon Henham park, a splash of colours ranging from pink and orange to blue and lilac, a natural light show amongst all the manmade stuff. We treat each day as if we were going hiking in the country...
