Between water shortages, petrol (gasoline) shortages, constant bandhs (strikes/road closures/protests) in the Terai region, political demonstrations in Kathmandu and the electricity load-shedding, life stays interesting. Dirty – ha,ha Of course the water problems in Nepal coincide w/the hottest, dirtiest, driest time of year! Granted, part of the reason water is not as plentiful is. It’s hot and dry…. Yes, I am still alive and yes, I am still in Kathmandu…. It Really Was A Road Trip.

Barbara Aunty kindly took us all out for a nice dinner in the Chinese Thai Room restaurant on the top floor of the United World Trade Center (it’s a big mall) in Tripureshwor. Well, I have gotten quite a bit behind here…mmmm…where to begin? 1) Returned to Ktm from Dhading last week. Had a great time in Dhading working with Pashupati Women Farmers’ Co-operative. We got to walk all over Sankosh VDC visiting members to collect data and also take a picture of each member and another pic of each member’s house. We visited almost 300 homes! I Got A Job! Just wanted to let you all know that I will be gainfully employed while I spend time here in Nepal – thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and best wishes.
