Bugger Melanoma!: September 2014
http://www.buggermelanoma.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A blog about my melanoma diagnosis and everything that goes with it. Saturday, 6 September 2014. Scans, surgery, feeling shit. I thought I'd posted here after my check up in July but I guess not. Then again, thanks to work, this summer has pretty much passed me by. Literally, I am working 50-60 hours a week, every week, and have been doing my open water scuba qualification at the weekends. I am seriously shattered. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is what's happened so far. Scans, surgery, feeling shit.
Bugger Melanoma!: April 2013

A blog about my melanoma diagnosis and everything that goes with it. Saturday, 6 April 2013. A life (not) defined by cancer. I realise that in this blog, I only talk about cancer. Obviously there's much more to me than that crap but I figured that, since you're here reading it, you've either done a search for melanoma, you've got a vested interest in cancer, or you enjoy a spot of morbid schadenfreude. Nowt wrong with that, I think we all have a touch of it from time to time! A battery hen rescue organis...
Bugger Melanoma!: July 2013
http://www.buggermelanoma.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
A blog about my melanoma diagnosis and everything that goes with it. Friday, 5 July 2013. I phoned Rachel, my Macmillan skin cancer nurse, yesterday. I haven't spoken to her in over a year but she remembered me well and we had a good chat. She gave me the results of the BRAF testing. My melanoma is positive for the braf mutation. That's a good thing - it widens my treatment options, should I get to that point. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is what's happened so far. View my complete profile.

A bugger of a kid
A bugger of a kid. Growing up in post-WWII Australia. Saturday, March 12, 2011. It happened slowly, insidiously, and change crept through my life like a thief in the dark. It all appeared unremarkable, at first, something different happened. Some were little things. Houses were being built. Slowly more and more. The trams went and were replaced by diesel buses – smelly belching double-decker behemoths that had none of the finesse. All these new homes were in-filling their natural environment. I suppo...
