Please contact Mitch. If you have any questions regarding the trip. Most of you have been there before or have been camping, but if you are a newcomer or have not camped much before, here is a list. Campfire tales through the years. Sunday, July 27, 2008. Brett and Katie 7-19-08. Congrats to the newlyweds! Brett and Katie tied the knot, standing on the beach of Ocracoke. Mitch officiated the ceremony. Katie was gorgeous, with flowers in her hair and "The Professor" looked dashing in his button-down white shirt and khakis. It was just beautiful, really. Campfire tales through the years. Sunday, April 11, 2010. TJ and Amy tie the knot! Congrats go out to another happy couple this year. TJ and Amy were married at Saint Mary's Chapel, in Raleigh, with a smashing reception at 1705 Prime. I have included a picture of the beautiful couple with all of the Shady Shack crew, outside of the reception. Best food I have eaten in probably my life! Also, TJ and Amy used Nicole Faby Photography. And I must say she did an excellent job! If not, visit Nicole's website.

Campfire tales through the years. Sunday, August 10, 2008. Shady Shack 2008 What a ride! And boy, do I mean a RIDE! This is us altogether before we ventured 8 miles down the New River. The water was the lowest it has ever been on a "Shady Shack" excursion and it took us about 5 hours! It was hard work (our arms and backs are aching), but it was fun as usual! We even saw several crawfish and (gulp) a snake! We also saw a family, getting ready for a river-side wedding! Would have loved playing with Otis!
