John Salmon Watercolours: Carrs Lane Enfield. Watercolour.
http://watercolourclub.blogspot.com/2013/11/carrs-lane-enfield-watercolour.html
Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Carrs Lane Enfield. Watercolour. I seem to be doing two paintings each day. I'm sure that I could do three or four if I didn't have to spend so much time on Facebook, Google and getting side-tracked. I need to find an outlet for my artwork and I'm finding that marketing via social media has so many options that I could follow that it's quite overwhelming. However here is my second painting of the day. Nice and loose. Carrs Lane. Watercolour 9.75 x 5 inches. Im trying to keep t...

John Salmon Watercolours: Salmon's Brook after the Rain.
http://watercolourclub.blogspot.com/2013/11/salmons-brook-after-rain.html
Wednesday, November 06, 2013. Salmon's Brook after the Rain. I'm quite pleased with this painting it does seem to have some redeeming features which I think works well. I used fewer colours from my already reduced palette and just a single large squirrel mop and No 4 rigger. I've been painting for years but the struggle doesn't get any easier. I prefer to start and finish a painting in one session so it needs to be quite a speedy process. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

John Salmon Watercolours: Autumn Trees, Trent Park.
http://watercolourclub.blogspot.com/2013/11/autumn-trees-trent-park.html
Monday, November 25, 2013. Autumn Trees, Trent Park. And so the battle continues. I start out in a Pablo state of mind, go into an artistic stupour, and come round a couple of hours later to find a tight finished painting. The battle between the expressionists and realists is being fought in my head and at the moment, the realists appear to be on top. What do you think? Autumn Trees, Trent Park. Watercolour 9.75 x 5.5 inches. Wednesday, February 05, 2014 6:08:00 am. Monday, March 16, 2015 11:16:00 am.

http://watercolourclub.blogspot.com/2013/11/turkey-brook-autumn.html
Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Started out nice and loose but still find myself tightening up when I'm in the zone and away with the fairies. I'm pleased with how it turned out in the end though. Turkey Brook Autumn. Watercolour 9.75 x 5 inches. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 5:12:00 pm. Very nice painting, like the shadows and bright spots. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 5:20:00 pm. Thanks Steven. Quite a few scary moments with this one. As you know, theres no turning back with watercolour. Charles R. Cherry.

John Salmon Watercolours: Branching Out. A change of direction.
http://watercolourclub.blogspot.com/2013/11/branching-out-change-of-direction.html
Friday, November 15, 2013. Branching Out. A change of direction. I'm branching out in new directions ( yeah! About time) and want to bring something new to my work. I k. Now at the moment I'm still stuck on trees and things but once I've sorted a looser style out, the subject matter will change too. Right or wrong, good or bad, I have to develop my art and get away from the safety of what I know people have liked and bought in the past. Your comments welcomed and appreciated. Thanks. Charles R. Cherry.
