Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder: March 2011

http://buildingpathfinder.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder. Monday, March 28, 2011. Its been a little while since last post so I figure I would give folks an update on the Pathfinder destruction and rebirth. The stove is getting a good workout and keeping the shed at a nice temperature. It makes work in the sub zero temperatures and snowstorms bearable. The cleanup is complete and the construction of the cabin is well under way. The sides and bulkheads were installed with no problems and things are looking up. Order in the chaos.

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder: Vacations and gems (August)

http://buildingpathfinder.blogspot.com/2011/12/vacations-and-gems-august.html

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder. Monday, December 12, 2011. Vacations and gems (August). It's not a long distance to Brigus and with the flat water it was easy to spot the dolphins, porpoises and the scattered whale. After an approximate 2 hr run at 5 knots we made the point to turn into the harbor that the town is situated in. There's very little to call beach area around here so many of the houses along the sides had small roads that lead to the town docks. Http:/ thecountrycorner.ca/index.htm. Pictur...

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder: The "Bug"

http://buildingpathfinder.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-bug.html

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder. Sunday, October 14, 2012. It's happened again, that affliction that strikes boat builders and sailors. The overpowering need to build another. Yeah its terrible. I'm still thinking about it. If I want to build another. This one it small and won't take near the time or resources to complete. If I do buy the plans, it's likely the boat will follow. And I'll certainly put it in a blog. Wooden boat web site forum discussion of SCAMP. Small Craft Advisor Magazine article.

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder: May 2011

http://buildingpathfinder.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder. Sunday, May 29, 2011. Home stretch on the Pathfinder modification. I am on the home stretch now, Varnishing near completion, most fittings installed, and the new boom ready for fittings. I do need to make some adjustments to the hatch and door though. It fits a little too tight for my liking. The stainless steel solar powered vent will keep the air flowing while the cabin is closed up. More to come. Much to do yet and my greenhouse needs attention as well. Subscribe to: ...

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder

Coastal Cruising in a Pathfinder. Friday, November 9, 2012. September had a few nice sailing days and this day was no exception. Very little to no wind but warm and sunny. Derrick brought by pictures that he took from his sailboat as we both made our way out the bay. A ripple on the water but virtually no wind. So we sit and wait for a puff of wind to come along. Once in a while a small breeze would pass by and we would ghost along for a moment. Friday, November 09, 2012. Sunday, October 14, 2012. It's h...
