The Wright House: August 2008
http://buildingthewrighthouse.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Just a running commentary on our first home building project. Friday, August 29, 2008. Drywall : Day 1. The drywall showed up on 8/27 and the drywall installers came on Thursday to start installing. They got 1/2 the house hung in one day! It is so neat to see solid walls after all our hard work! This view is from the front room looking back towards the kitchen. Man they are so quick! Glad we are not doing this part. Looking at the front room. Entering bedroom 3, on the north side of the house. (10X16).

Just a running commentary on our first home building project. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. We started moving in some furniture on the first floor last weekend. Only in the areas where we have wood flooring. It sure makes a difference in how the house feels! It is so weird after all this time that we are actually MOVING IN! The carpet is being installed this week and so is the glass for the master shower. We plan on moving in the rest of the furniture this weekend once the carpet goes in. woohoo!

The Wright House: Shower Glass
http://buildingthewrighthouse.blogspot.com/2008/12/shower-glass.html
Just a running commentary on our first home building project. Monday, December 8, 2008. The glass was installed. Okay, so there aren't too many angles that I can take this photo at so you just get to see two pics of the same thing! It sure is one big shower though. We have to wait until Wednesday to use it, but how exciting that our master bath is nearly complete. Now all Jay needs to do is install it toilet and hang the door! Posted by Jay and Patty. Building The Web
Exploring the sociological, economical and technological foundry blocks of the Internet. Yesterday, I attended MassTLC. S The Future of Software and the Internet unConference. Which was a terrific forum. Enough so that it snapped me back from my 1-year hiatus from blogging. The first forum I attend was titled If not advertising, then what? Where we discussed the pitfalls of advertising as a revenue model for the web and dug into other forms. Why do ads fail on the web? What are the other revenue models?
Building the White House
Building the White House. Designing and building an environmentally-sustainable home. Our lot at 60 Three Brooks Drive is up for sale. May 14, 2009 No Comments. You can view our listing with Wayne Cochrane, our Exit Optimum realtor, right here. We have no intention of selling for a penny less than we paid. I’d love to have made back some of our other costs as well, but I don’t think that will happen, we’ll have to write it off as sunk cost. So, in the end what did this little experiment cost? Looks like ...

Building Things Backwards
A way of creative undoing. Built my own vocoder in Reaper DAW - For No Reason. This is a seriously backwards project. It's built in Reaper using only stock plugins. Keep in mind the important fact that I am not a genius. There are probably a hundred better ways to do this just in Reaper, and there are probably 10,000 better ways to do it in an audio programming language. People build these with analog electronics. An interesting but incorrect fact: the Wikipedia article on the Vocoder. Noise Generator is...
