Why Straw Bale Construction?
http://www.strawcottage.com/why-straw-bale.html
Straw Bale House in Morin Heights Qc. There are a few points that attracted us to using straw as an insulator. The idea of using straw and clay instead of manufactured construction materials creates a more gentle footprint on the environment. Straw itself is a great insulator with an insulation value surpassing the conventional home. The house stays cool in the summer and holds its heat for a long time in the winter once it is warm. Montreal organization for ecological construction. A House of Straw.

Monday, March 31, 2014. Step by step to the stairs! The past two weekends have been all about getting ready to do some interior work. Now that all the siding has been done, it' time to get in some of the elements of the interior. First step, the stairs! Maddy preps the drywall after the very first insulation is put in. Kevin contemplates the wall before getting started. The idea is to use the space under the stairs for storage. First stairs go in. All the straight stairs are in! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
