我一直都喜歡用 Sony Vegas 9 做一些簡單的剪接動作，再上傳到網路分享。 但因為 Vegas 內建的兩款 h.264 編碼器 (Sony / MainConcept) 品質很差勁，所以我都是輸出成未壓縮AVI (RGB 8 bit/ch，再丟到 Quicktime 用 Apple 的 h.264 編碼器壓成 MOV 檔。 未壓縮 AVI 看起來 OK ，但是壓成 h.264 之後總是會有色階不連續的現象發生。 我想如果餵給 Quicktime 的是 10-bit 精度影片的話，結果應該會改善。 另外因為工作的關係需要製作 ProRes 10-bit 格式的 MOV 檔作為素材，而 ProRes 現階段又只有 Mac 獨家支援，所以我勢必要在 Window 環境下後製完成之後，存成未壓縮 10-bit 再送到 Mac 環境進行壓縮。 剛開始找到一些 10-bit YUV 的 Quicktime codec 但都只有 for Windows 或 For Mac，實用性大大受限。 Blackmagic 10 bit 4:2:2 Codec.
