Tuesday, January 15, 2008. A fire truck we saw at Iguazu. These are beautiful old machines. On our second visit to the falls, we enjoyed the company of our favourite information girl, Maria, who was so happy to see us again. Friday, January 13, 2012. Ridiculous Galapagos – Part 1. Here we are taking the short bus ride to the dock from the airport. The airport was so small. There was only a small number of us getting on the boat. Many were already on. So, while they were off doing things, we sat and had our first lunch. Our first sighting of a small volcano on our way to our first beach landing. Within seconds we were seeing iguanas, crabs, sharks, birdies, and pelicans. These brine lakes are often inhabited by pink flamingos.

Monday, February 4, 2013. We didn’t get up to too much today. It seemed what was in our hearts wasn’t to find or do anything new but to revisit the old. We made our way down to breakfast just in time to not miss it. Getting up at 9:30am is like getting up at 5:30am at home, on top of barely sleeping the night previous. Saturday, February 9, 2013. Falling out of the boat twice was my comical contribution to the adventure. If you get a chance to go rafting someday, I suggest you give it a try. It was a blast, more than either Brooke or I expected and we had a great day doing it. This is a prettty cool sequence of our first attempt at finding the ‘hole’. We actually made it out in one piece! Then, we paddled into the hole again to try and surf the wave:. The same run from a different angle. Wish I was there!

She will eat any fruit I can find her and it's a staple in her daily diet. For snack one afternoon she got banana, kiwi, strawberries and raspberries with milk of course. The middle leg of our trip and about 6.5-8 hours from Sandpoint, depending on how many stops you make. It was a good drive and all members of our family handled the drive like pros. This bathroom sign had us giggling at Pike Place. The Pike Place Market was a sight. The fisherman, as Logan put it, are Comedian's and it's less about the fish and more about their performance for the crowds.

While it was smokey from all the forest fires we had the most wonderful day exploring this sand spit where the boys and Shelly would camp during their first summers here.
