Aiyer International: Rendezvous in Paris
http://aiyerinternational.blogspot.com/2015/06/rendezvous-in-paris.html
Wednesday, 24 June 2015. We did a last minute trip to Paris this past weekend, and I'm so glad we did. Ram has been traveling to several different countries since last Sunday and heading his first road show. His boss and other colleagues joined him on this trip. It is a huge milestone for him and I'm so proud of him and happy he got one under his belt:). We arrived Saturday afternoon and after Riya's nap, we decided to just walk around. Our hotel was walking distance to the Galleries Lafayette, so we...

Aiyer International: October 2014
http://aiyerinternational.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 20 October 2014. I decided to start an evening book club so that I have another excuse to have a night out:) The first book we read was "Bringing up Bebe" by Pamela Druckerman. My friend Laine had high praises of this book and I was particularly drawn to it because it's about a New Yorker who married a Brit and they moved to Paris to raise a family. Did you know that if a toddler doesn't say "Bonjour" to another adult, it's socially unacceptable? I sometimes feel like a fish out of water raising ...

Aiyer International: July 2015
http://aiyerinternational.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 30 July 2015. NHS versus the World. There is no way we would have had that luck in the U.S. The UK's healthcare, known as the National Health Service (NHS), is funded by taxes and available to all at no cost. Now free healthcare sounds and is. Since I've had a baby under the Dubai healthcare system and will now have one under NHS, I thought it would be fun to compare the two experiences:). Needless to say in Dubai, they had no issues picking up the phone and sending you email/text. I don't unde...

Dunnottar means "fort on the shelving slope.". We hiked down a cliff to the rocky shore. The seal friend who came to visit us. The weather has been so good to us! Dunnottar Castle is most known for being the place where the Scottish crown jewels were hidden from Oliver Cromwell's army. Monday, November 19, 2012.

Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Journey to Northern Scotland. Epic Scotland Trip: May 2-6, 2013. James and I knew that we had to see the northern and western parts of Scotland that we hadn't seen yet. We saved visiting the Isle of Skye for May when we thought the weather would be warmer. Although the weather wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't the least bit warm. This trip was amazing! By the end of our year in Scotland, we put 10,000 miles on the car! Date of this event: May 2-3, 2013. The Dunnet Head lig...

http://travelmiamor.blogspot.com/2011/06/italia-here-we-come.html
Sunday, June 12, 2011. Italia here we come! Christmas season 2008: We arrived in Rome! We find our bus and make our way to the hotel. One of the best things about Trafalgar is that they try their hardest not to book “name brand hotels” so we were in this cute little hotel with a rooftop terrace and garden. We loved it! We saw so many amazing old things! All the history to take in is just unbelievable! We have the most amazing tour director named Federica! Let’s go in Italian). Now, onto the South! A Nabe...

Monday, January 28, 2013. Date of this trip: October 5-7, 2012. Because this was our first time to visit London, we took a double-decker bus tour and absolutely loved it. As a matter of fact, we absolutely loved everything about London! If you haven't been, you need to go. Immediately. The Houses of Parliament. A view across River Thames (pronounced "Temz"). The Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian-only footbridge that crosses River Thames. James ate a proper English dinner of steak and ale pie. The Lewis C...
