Bullens in St Lucia. Friday, February 26. The drought continues unabated. Our garden and indeed the rest of the Island are turning into a dust bowl. We are giving a few plants some water, as they were hard to come by, but the rest will just have to survive as best they can. The government has declared a state of emergency as they predict they only have water until the end of March and the long term forecast shows no signs of significant rain. Bullens in St Lucia. Saturday, August 28. Avid readers may have noticed a two month break in the reporting of events from St Lucia. This was due to an extremely quiet time and little action. That said we have gathered a few photos of visitors and flora and the odd one or two of us taking it easy…actually the ones of Jeff are him toiling in the garden! This Calla lily used to be pure yellow but this year developed red splodges. The garden is in full bloom, even enough for cut flowers to grace the house.

Bullens in St Lucia. Saturday, March 26. We have been spring maintenancing. Jeff high up in the eaves. The weather has been great, just enough rain to keep the garden going but bring on the blooms and blossom. At the moment we have a small amount of blossom on the avocado, lime, tangerine, pomegranate, guava, mango and star fruit. All bodes well for a fruity summer.
