Bears-n-Apples: January 2009
http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2009. Equal pay finally has its day. As I watched the signing of the Equal Pay Bill today, I was reminded of how far we have come. I am glad that I have lived through the amazing transition of "worth less" to valued equally. So, to the next generations, daughters and granddaughters, look back with respect and a grateful heart to the women who preceded us and stood up for what was right and celebrate a great new day in the signing of this bill. http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 28, 2010. Christmas presents in February. Here is the result of a wonderful present from Ken. This beauty was the product of a bulb, a pot, and a bag of dirt. I did just what he said, and it worked! Thank you, Ken. Posted by Gramma Seguine. The groundhog was right! Last weekend while Dad was enjoying summertime in Brazil, we had more snow. Julie and Justin and the kids came down on Saturday to play in the snow left from the blizzard and the topping off snow we had just gotten. The first ...

http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 14, 2012. The Spirit has been very close lately. My partner Deb lost her mother-in-law recently. It has been hard to watch her husband Tom go through this loss. I met friends of his family at the funeral held in a beautiful little church in Maryland that has been there for over 200 years. It is time for some joy. Posted by Gramma Seguine. My last entry caught up with "where in the world has gramma been? After I was released, my new calling was to be a Primary teacher. But with all my ...

Bears-n-Apples: September 2012
http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2012. The Blog Patrol is watching. Last weekend I received a notification that I was about to lose my blogging and Facebook rights because of inactivity. Seriously, Ken let me know I was waaaay behind in contributing to either, so I am repenting and updating today. I know myself and resolutions, so I make no promises ;). Let's just work backwards by significant weekends, and by the end I may be excused for not taking time to post. 8/4-6 - Chico for a beautiful baby blessing and fami...

Monday, January 23, 2012. Surviving Haleakala and other adventures. Can you believe this is us? Yes, Dad and I blazed down the road to the volcano on Maui! We started at 6500 feet and coasted 21 miles down to sea level at the town of Pa'ia where we had breakfast and climbed back in the van for the return to the hotel. It was screaming fun! Posted by Gramma Seguine. Excellent to hear you having screeming fun. January 28, 2012 at 5:12 PM. You clearly are your mothers daughter! February 5, 2012 at 10:28 PM.

Bears-n-Apples: January 2010
http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Oh, what a night! Sunday night we had a raging storm, winds were up to 50 mph, and over 2 inches of rain. This is what I discovered this morning. I guess Dad has a project when he returns from Africa this weekend, although we are supposed to get a snow storm Friday to Saturday, so it may be a little while after that. I have finished two quilt tops ( Ilana's. And Aspen's) and have three others in process (Maddie's, Eme's. Posted by Gramma Seguine. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Bears-n-Apples: Sharp contrast
http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2012/01/sharp-contrast.html
Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Okay, my planning was not the best for our return to PA. Here is what it looked like the morning we left Maui. It was about 80 and beautiful. We flew overnight to LA and then on to Dulles that morning. I had dressed for my afternoon in Hawaii- denim skirt, Hard Rock tee-shirt, zip front sweatshirt, and tennis shoes. Imagine my surprise when I looked out at the runway as we landed at Dulles and saw SNOW! Posted by Gramma Seguine. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Bears-n-Apples: June 2011
http://bears-n-apples.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 13, 2011. The bunnies are back! Mom was on my front porch the next day observing and being observed by the cats through the glass door. They actually must have decided that berries are really tasty because the next time I went to pick, most of the fruit had bites taken out of them. Posted by Gramma Seguine. Saturday, June 4, 2011. High Five for Dad and Me! What do you think of our pasta collection? I am pinching inches around waists of skirts and passing them on. We. Posted by Gramma Seguine.
