The Friends new home……. Daniel O’Kelly BPS Project Co-ordinator and Anne King President FBBG inside plus Judith Bailey FBBG Project Co-ordinator outside. The FBBG currently have no home and this facility, adjacent to the Buninyong Gardens, is an ideally placed home for the FBBG and our proposed nursery. The FBBG will contribute from funds raised, to the ongoing maintenance of the building into the future, so that the project becomes self sustaining. The FBBG will have a base from which to work:.

A Brief History by Anne Beggs Sunter. Opening of the Queen Victoria Rotunda on 13 November 1901. In 1990 the Old Sandstone Courthouse and its immediate surroundings were added to the Gardens Reserves. An area in the southwest has been excised to the Buninyong Bowling Club. The picturesque Lower Section of the Botanic Gardens contains an historic Victorian Rotunda, an ornamental pool with an island, and a variety of exotic labelled specimen trees and shrubs.
