Sunday, November 09, 2014. Da Goils do Seattle. It is SO rare that I feel like posting these days that I figured I would jump on the fleeting desire to do so that I'm feeling now - freshly back from a weekend in Seattle with two of my favorite people to travel with:. Yes, they are hiding behind their coffee cups, but you know who they are. There is no hiding. Well, because November marks the return of HUMP! And I will give a shout out to Bacon Mansion. Lovely old home in lovely Capitol Hill. Our room.

As Mister Man pointed out, there were 5 starches on his plate. 5! This is a meal made for my people. Uncle Dal made a 14 pound roast on the BBQ. The scent of the beast cooking was enough to send us ALL into the pool to cool down. It was delicious. Here's Bob. Clearly he was in his happy place. As were Merilee and Cathy.

Not to Go On and ON and ON about the Tart thing. but Pea, Ham and Sour Cream Tartlets. Or perhaps it was elevated by the brilliance of the filing. Generous 3/4 cup of all purpose flour. 2 1/2 ounces (75 gms) cold butter, cut into pieces. 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese. Scant 1 1/2 cup frozen peas. 2 Tbsp unsalted butter. 2 shallots, finely choped. 1/2 cup sour cream.

The day after the big event, we headed out for breakfast and I snapped this image.
