Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Recipe: pistachio ice cream. I think every Indian kid remembers their trips to the Indian grocer once a week. I'd peer at the spices and the bags of lentils before making our way to the registers, where I would reach into the cooler and grab a kulfi. Kulfi is Indian ice-cream, but not made the traditional way. It's creamy and fragrant (thanks to saffron and cardamom) and comes in exotic flavors - my favorite was always pistachio. 2 cups whole milk. 1 T plus 1 t. cornstarch.

Midnight at the Glamour Show. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. I am moved in! The move itself was a little crazy, not that they're ever easy. The first day, which was supposed to be a piece of cake because we were so well prepared, took 8 hours. Oof. And the boyfriend crushed his thumb, making it nearly unusable the next day, so the next day was rather complicated. I ended up moving 90% of the truck with one of his friends (go me! Lemme see, what else? Oh, and a new blog that I'm loving is Oh She Glows.
