Sunday, May 31, 2009. Here's a few (okay, two) interesting things I learned this week. The word " snafu. Comes from the military expression "situation normal all f* *ed up." It was used mostly in Vietnam. In 1066, when the Normans (French-speaking people) invaded the British Isles, they told their people that their campfires must be extinguished by 9 pm.
