I have buddies who are ecstatic about swimmer Michael Phelps’ run for 8 gold medals at this summer’s Olympic games in Beijing. Swimming doesn’t really get me (though I was caught up in the replays of the U.s. men’s relay victory over France). My prediction: Phelps ties Mark Spitz by pulling down 7 gold medals. Why?
