I captured this moment in the morning light near the Schwedagon Pagoda or Golden Temple in Rangoon. The stillness and motion felt like a dream on this first trip to Burma. This is the cover shot of the book as well. Sunrise in December of 2011 was something special. The locals were clearing and burning brush, creating a slight haze that picked up the light as the hot air balloons floated by slowly, playing hide-and-go-seek with the pagodas. Caught this guy while waiting to catch a ride to MayMyo.
