A blog about life in the Land of the Morning Calm . and the Afternoon Confusion. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. What the . bureautards? And they wonder why people don't like dealing with Government. Or think that Government agencies are incompetent. My issue with the International Tax Services Office (ITSO) of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has been resolved! Mind you they neglected to TELL ME! They sent me 2 letters to let me know it was under review. Notthing to tell me it was resolved. We now know, than...

What the kimchi???: Social Experiment
http://whatthekimchi.blogspot.com/2014/10/social-experiment.html
A blog about life in the Land of the Morning Calm . and the Afternoon Confusion. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. What can I say, I am proud of how this "experiment". Turned out. It proves what I have always though about Canada and Canadians. While I don't like these ambush type of "media" stories it does make me feel good. I have always thought of Canadians as being tolerant. That "we" wouldn't put up with racist bullshit. This "experiment" actually confirmed it for me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

What the kimchi???: Hairy Bikers Asian Adventure
http://whatthekimchi.blogspot.com/2014/04/hairy-bikers-asian-adventure.html
A blog about life in the Land of the Morning Calm . and the Afternoon Confusion. Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Hairy Bikers Asian Adventure. The Hairy Bikers did a series in Asia. The 6th and final episode was done in South Korea. I liked it. I liked how they talked about what food would be a hit back in the UK. And talked about what was actually popular in the West. The kimchi making was well done. It reminded me of the time I made sauerkraut with my Great Aunt. Damn I miss her. :(. May 13, 2014 at 6:46 PM.

Working at the same job for 2 years. In 2012 I opened a Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA). Imagine my surprise when I got a letter from Canada Revenue agency (CRA) telling me that I owed them money for deposits I made to my TFSA. The reason? So, if you are one of the Canadian ex-pats who actually let the government know you ar...

What the kimchi???: What the ... rut?!?!?
http://whatthekimchi.blogspot.com/2015/06/what-rut.html
A blog about life in the Land of the Morning Calm . and the Afternoon Confusion. Thursday, June 25, 2015. What the . rut? It is strange how things come to mind sometimes. The other day, while talking with some co-workers, I realized that South Korea was my rut. Would I find a job I liked? One that made good money? Or would I be miserable. Great de-motivator to making any changes. Why did I go to South Korea? I actually wanted change in my life. Something I feared. I had a job I hated. REALLY ...I hope yo...

What the kimchi???: February 2013
http://whatthekimchi.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
A blog about life in the Land of the Morning Calm . and the Afternoon Confusion. Thursday, February 14, 2013. A facebook friend posted a sign the other day that read: "If children can have an ice cream truck, why can't adults have a liquor truck.". At least, we did until the proprietor told us to stop bringing in outside drinks to his bar. I had hoped to include some pics of the liquor truck, but I neglected to take any at the time, and Flint is still searching for his. Maybe he can post them later.

Blog In A Tea cup: Unpacking and pigging out
http://tea-me-happy.blogspot.com/2012/03/unpacking-and-pigging-out.html
Blog In A Tea cup. Saturday, March 24, 2012. Unpacking and pigging out. Cockatoos outside the house. I've also been making very slow headway against unpacking all the stuff I've brought home - or rather, I've unpacked it all, I just haven't been able to find places to put it. I feel like there's not much point since I'll hopefully be moving out again soon, but as my long suffering parents put it, it's nice to be able to see the floor occasionally you know? A few years ago Fran and I bought mum and dad an...
