The Golfer's End of Lake Cumberland. Golf is an area where Burnside’s reputation is also one of excellence. The course at Burnside Island State Park was selected third best in a statewide magazine poll ranking over 120 public and private Kentucky courses. Woodson Bend Resort has a beautiful championship course designed by Lee Trevino and Dave Bennett. Burnside’s two stellar courses certainly help make the case that the area is truly the Golfer’s End of Lake Cumberland.
