Burnt Transistors: July 2011
http://www.burnttransistors.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
There's nothing like the smell of burning transistors in the morning. Monday, July 4, 2011. Last weekend I was driving around and stopped at a yard sale in hope of finding some cool electronics. I was not disappointed. I walked around looking at old radios and other "junk". Electronics at yard sales are often obsolete, but are great platforms for hacking and mods. I walked out with two 120 watt speakers for $3 and an old Super Cub LP RC airplane for $20. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

There's nothing like the smell of burning transistors in the morning. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Thanks for everyone who stopped by to check out the NanoQuad at Maker Faire. I had a great time sharing my project with all of you and (as promised) will be writing up some documentation over the next week. As well as (hopefully) getting some hovering tests in! In the meantime please check out all the source code and design files that went into the project, which have been posted on my GitHub. Simple template&#...
Burnt Transistors: March 2013

There's nothing like the smell of burning transistors in the morning. Saturday, March 9, 2013. I have just finished ordering all of the parts for the quadrocopter and the BOM is promising ($33.11). I hope to get a prototype up and running in the coming weeks. Now I just have to wait for the parts to arrive and in the meantime begin coding the stabilization software. Look out for more posts with my progress. And check out the schematic and PCB for the main controller below. The first revision PCB.

There's nothing like the smell of burning transistors in the morning. Saturday, May 18, 2013. The quadcopter frame in SolidWorks. The design from MIT. Fresh out of the printer. Melting off the wax. Check out the CAD files at: https:/ sourceforge.net/projects/nanoquad/files/? The revised design (the square rods are carbon fiber). The printed parts. One of the problems was the support material was inside the holes which made it difficult to clean out. For my orientation detection, I use a Kalman filter to ...

Friday, 6 May 2016. Add polymorphism. I can't see any reason this isn't doable outside of function naming. That's fixable. Simple" "templates" based on structure aggregation to make workable generics (list/tree/map etc). Clean vector math support (like OGLES). Thursday, 5 May 2016. Also, Pocket C.H.I.P. Does nerd tech get any cooler than this? The embedded guys would, really, like you to standardise the bit shift operations and add rotations will you are there, no. seriously! Wednesday, 4 May 2016. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. This is the first bit of animation I did while learning Toon Booms Harmony. I worked on Neighbours back in 2010. It was a challenging production but fun to animate on! Monday, August 22, 2011. So where are the posts! Burnt Tree has enjoyed the summer, but has kept pretty busy. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much I am allowed to post here. When I can, I'll post something fancy! Friday, March 11, 2011. Here are some illustrations I've done for a Run for Water! Tiger . head.

Not to be confused with Cinnamon French Troast. The first real stab at my multi-media presentation, there are certain aspects that cannot come across effectively in a simple screen shot, but this does include a video and a soundbite so if you can imagine that in your head you’ll have a better idea of what i’m getting at so far. It is seemingly clear that the lines being drawn amongst the judges on the issue of the health care mandate are political ones. The Bill of Rights. Similar to an earlier era’s arg...
