Went through to Sarria for lunch before finishing at Barbedelo with our Auberg and POOL 🙂. Relaxing afternoon by the pool with a few beers and hooked up with the Bermuda Burns crew. Departed Melide at 7 after a good nights sleep and managing to keep the Octopus onboard. Up and down dale at a leisurely pace as only 27k planned leaving another 27k for our final day into Santiago. Rather noisy nite of snoring from our fellow dorm companions, but managed some sleep, early start 6:30 as we dropped down the mountain 500m passing through some nice villages on the way. As the land levelled out around Ponferrada the weather started to warm up as we struggled on the last 10k to Cacabelos. Did manage to dip my toes to cool off. Arriving late afternoon after 33k day. Week 1/2/3 Steps 974k.

Set off early as usual with a rather smelly evening (slept with my head out of the window). Nice easy walk to Santiago only 28k away with usual stops on the way. Just want to say thanks to. After a 7pm bedtime last night and a crap nights sleep we set off at 6.30 am with a 28km walk ahead of us and a hot day forecast. After a breakfast stop of toast and jam we stopped for a little pre lunch at cafe Oasis in San Junto. Folklore says they have the best tortilla on the Camino. We can confirm it too. Glorious! And only 2 euros as well.
