Notes about life in Burr House, Shiplake College. Wednesday, 14 May 2014. Students from Shiplake are going to be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. Tickets are available from here. You will see that the group is called Scruffy Penguin and the image shown on the page was created and drawn by George Martin. George who is really into his art should be very proud of his work which is displayed on the website of an international festival. See the drawing below:.

Notes about life in Burr House, Shiplake College. Wednesday, 14 May 2014. Last Friday was the Senior House Athletics promptly followed by the Junior House Athletics on Monday. The weather was nice allowing the girls and boys of Burr to complete in the 100m, 200m, 400m, Long Jump and Shot Put. The results are shown below and lots of photos have been added to the Photo Gallery. Which can be accessed from the blog home page. Well done to everybody especially the girls who came first!

Notes about life in Burr House, Shiplake College. Friday, 6 June 2014. Hugo, Finlay, Joachim, Zeb and Will all took part in House Drama yesterday representing Burr House. The boys worked very hard on their act during the afternoon and at the end the judges decided the it had come down to just two houses with just one point separating them. Notes about life in Burr House, Shiplake College. Friday, 6 June 2014. At the start of half term rowing squads from all year groups competed in the National School's Regatta in Nottingham. The 1st VIII were very successful and got a Silver medal in a boat which contained Dom Parnell. The Championship Coxed IV also achieved a Silver medal and again Dom Parnell was a member of the crew. Finally the J15A Coxed Quad won a Bronze medal of which Hugo Oglina was a member of the crew. Jenny Miles Thomas (Matron).

A bitter-sweet competition for Skipwith this year as the Seniors won the Championship Cup and the Girls were outstanding, winning the Girls Cup too. It was inconceivable to think we could finish last and second last overall then, but we did, due to the skewed nature of finishing places.
