Thursday, July 25, 2013. 4th of July in Reno. For the 4th of July this year, we went to Reno to see Nick's brother and his family. They have recently purchased a new house and had a new baby! It was a lot of fun to see everyone again! On the Fourth, we went "mining" for crystals on a very steep, very sandy hill. It was really, really hard to get up it and stay up it! Monday, May 20, 2013. Thursday was a special day for our kids at school. Mabel was the story teller in their 1st grade class play of "The Woman Who Swallowed A Fly". It was really cute and fun. The kids' faces were priceless. Right after the play, we went to the school gym for the choir concert. Mabel and Sam have been in choir this spring and have really enjoyed it. They sang very well! Thursday, April 12, 2012. The Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy Cross Paths. We had a few egg wrapper things. Yeah, we let the kids put the eggs in the boiling water by themselves.that's what kind of parents we are! Elizabeth, Mabel's friend has already lost several teeth, but was still really interested in seeing Mabel's tooth. Mabel now has two more loose teeth. Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Fall is upon us.colder temps, less daylight, and fun activities. Whenever we rake leaves in the yard, it's entertaining to watch how quickly it is re-littered with more debris. Thursday, June 21, 2012. A couple of weeks ago, Mabel had her year-end dance recital. I was amazed at her confidence and stage presence. She is getting to be a really good dancer and we are so proud of her! Grandma and grandpa came up to see her perform. Afterwards, grandpa took everyone out for frozen yogurt. The next day, my parents took our family photo for us and then out to Red Robin for dinner. It was so nice to spend a few days with my parents and I'm so glad they came up to help us celebrate.
