Here's the current status of my conversion. My contract work and other projects cut in and out of my time, so who knows when this will be done. As more of the bus is complete, I'll put more info here. You can also see any construction photos in the album. Most bus conversions and RVs are designed to "dry dock" for very short periods of time, such as a day or two. Dry docking is when the vehicle is parked but without water/electrical hookups. Oftentimes the RV only has minimal water and power availability when dry docked, such as 12V lights and no air conditioning. For over a week. For Bus Conversion to a Motor Home. After posting my Bus Purchase Nightmare. From mistakenly buying a bus from Mike Kadletz, I've learned some things about buying buses. I eventually went with an MCI because of the aluminum and stainless steel lower body which avoids rust. These chassis are rated for a million miles. For more info on different MCI coaches, see the specifications. If you can afford an MCI102 then you'll get more space (though the extra width does add difficulty to driving and parking.).
