The siege of Khartoum. Just for the hell of it. I have been in a baking mood this week. Oct 18th, 2013 at 2:13 AM. Made my usual almost-challah during the weekend and then I had a craving for cinnamon buns tonight. Tried out a new recipe that turned out really well. Half of them have grated apple in the cinnamon-almond paste-butter filling as well! The challah was fine, but I really need to try the cool 6-strand weave next time. And maybe more eggs in the dough. It's almost a years since I last wrote an update here, and since it's that time of the year again, and I actually baked the usual Saffron Advent Cake I thought I really ought to come and say hi to you all. I miss livejournal/dreamwidth so much, yet I can't seem to get into the writing spirit again. Things are pretty much pottering along like before here. Dad is doing as well as he can, there has been some ups and downs but we're hanging on, and it's worth it every time dad smiles and says how much he loves us. Horrible day! - The siege of Khartoum

The siege of Khartoum. Just for the hell of it. Dec 2nd, 2015 at 6:03 PM. I couldn't leave dad but the people from the care company went with her and called me half an hour later. Our beloved L had had a serious stroke and a very deep bleeding in the brain. No idea how she will do or even if she'll make it through. She's only 40 years old! 10 comments Leave a comment.
