In addition to his apple pressing operation, Joseph P. Bustard also had a thriving pork butchering business and operated a Creamery. The Creamery was across the street from the farm house and was converted into a home in the 1900's. The building still stands today. The paths in the photo eventually turned into Bustard and Fisher Roads.

Bustard Road History

Joseph P. Bustard had the only apple press in the area. Farmers would travel the paths from Skippack Turnpike and Harleysville Turnpike to his farm with their apple crop for pressing. This path or trail was know as "The way to Bustard Farm". Eventually it turned into Bustard Road.
