Adding to the collection. On September 8, 2010. I heart postcards, and my awesome friends and family send me postcards whenever they go somewhere exotic, historic, glitzy, quaint, redneck, you name it. Just within reach of my desk there are about 75 or so. Not completely unrelated, I’ve been on the hunt for rugs for some time now. Though I’ve mainly been looking for the perfect Persian (read oldish, right color, cheap), I would make exception for this. What do you think? No I’m not. Follow Blog via Email.

Went to the grocery store this morning for cat litter and found some beautiful dahlias (second favorite to peonies) on sale. If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. This one has slightly scaled down expectations from the ill-fated WUSA (RIP, 2003). That is, until I go to leave. Turns out, there is about 8 inches of standing water in the floor of the Jeep. In the floor in the front seat, that is. Which seems kind of unsafe. Monday, April 07, 2008. It is pollen season here in the ATL. I've been checking the official pollen counter. Every day, and today we are close to 2000. (Anything above 120 is extremely high). Unfortunately, we are also still in a drought, so even though you need a snow brush to get the yellow dust off your car, you're not really supposed to use the hose or go to a carwash (except one that recycles water). Friday, November 26, 2010. Thanksgiving was yesterday. Cassi and I got up at 6:30 in the morning to run in the first-ever Atlanta Thanksgiving 5k. I finished in 1142nd place (which was better than the 1400th I was anticipating). It was also the first race that I got a medal for - it was like I just won the Olympics or something. Friday, November 25, 2011. I was inspired by this post. On Apartment Therapy about the Ikea Rast dresser. We recently redecorated the dining room (the dining room used to be more like my office). It is actually now serving as a dining room, with a table and everything. The last piece (besides the window treatments- still working on that) we needed to get was some sort of buffet or sideboard. I've run a bunch of 5ks, two 10ks, and a half marathon (along with two sprint triathlons) in the last 2 years. I also wrote a blog that got a tiny bit of recognition. About being able to run.
