The Rubalcaba Kids: October 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 30, 2009. Your play group is so stinkin cute! We just can't get over it. Everyone came over today in their Halloween costumes and it was so much fun seeing you guys all dressed up. Now that everyone is crawling around like crazy, it was tough to get everyone to sit still for a picture, but we got one! Ronin was a penguin, Kai was a monster, you were a race car driver, Ella was a piggy and Caden was a bat. Sunday, October 18, 2009. Over 3 decades of tradition. Tuesday, October 13, 2009.

The Rubalcaba Kids: November 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. We just celebrated my favorite holiday . Thanksgiving! And what a holiday it was! We flew out to New York to stay with your Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jenn in Brooklyn for a week. And we had just the best time. As you probably know by now, New York is your dad's favorite city and boy, he couldn't wait to show you the sites. Here is a pic of our 1st trip into the city. Grammy knitted those super cute hats for you and dad. So what did we do? Now how many kids can say they did that :).

The Rubalcaba Kids: April 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Upon further review . Upon further inspection, you actually have 6 teeth coming in! The top canines (or the fangs as I like to call them), the bottom canines and the bottom middle teeth. Holy smokes! I hope this passes soon because it seems like you are in an awful lot of pain. Don't worry, I have plenty of Tylenol and Orajel on hand. Monday, April 27, 2009. But you're not even 11 weeks old! We always thought you were advanced, but this is too much! You are just 2.5 months! Here'...

The Rubalcaba Kids: June 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2009. Yum yum, eat 'um ups! With the rate you are growing, we thought you'd dive right into eating 'solids' without any problems! Well, we quickly found out that you're not such a big fan of rice cereal. In fact, you even dry heaved just to prove a point. Duly noted. Um, not sure what this is all about. Maybe Daddy does it better. Now we're trying oatmeal, which you seem to like better, but you still make some priceless faces at us while you're eating . Monday, June 22, 2009. Much to my ...

The Rubalcaba Kids: September 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 28, 2009. We just returned from our 1st family vacation! The three of us took a plane from LAX to Maui and met Grammy and Pops in Hawaii. Your dad and I were a little nervous about how you'd do on the 5 hour plane ride, but for a 7 month old, I'd say that you did great! Grammy and Pops met us at the airport and gave us a surprise lei greeting. We got traditional flower leis and you had a smaller one made of shells. After a little swimming, you took time out to snack on a teething biscuit.

The Rubalcaba Kids: January 2010
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 15, 2010. You still love your nighttime baths. We even bought you more bath toys to keep you entertained and I think you would stay in there until your fingers and toes shriveled up like raisins and fell off! Saturday, January 9, 2010. We had our tickets in hand and were ready to board the train! I snapped this picture just as we were gaining steam. You looked a little uneasy about the situation but were loving it in no time at all. In the words of your dad . "This was a perfect day"!

The Rubalcaba Kids: Now I lay me down to sleep
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2010/03/now-i-lay-me-down-to-sleep.html
Saturday, March 6, 2010. Now I lay me down to sleep. We've got quite a bedtime ritual for you and we hope it continues for many years to come. After your bath, which we all know you LOVE, we get you dressed in your snuggly PJ's and ready for bed. You tend to drink your last bottle rather slowly, so we read a book to you in between. We probably get through 4 books before you're done! Then, we say our nightly prayer:. Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. Its time to go to sleep.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. A happy little monkey. You are one happy little monkey! You've discovered your hands and think they are the coolest things ever :) You've also discovered how to clasp your hands together. Lately, you've figured out how to hold onto your feet and partially roll over. But your favorite discovery is looking at yourself in the mirror. Its to amazing to watch you discover the world around you. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful, happy and curious baby! Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

The Rubalcaba Kids: A Little Under the Weather
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2010/04/little-under-weather.html
Tuesday, March 30, 2010. A Little Under the Weather. February and March proved to be tough months for you. Up until your 1st birthday, you had only had 1-2 minor colds, but right around your 1st birthday you got another cold, and then another. But it was this last one was a doozy! Your fever broke the next day. We still had to do breathing treatments every 4 hours, but I was starting to see my old, happy Evan. You are your happy, active self again and your dad and I couldn't be happier! Omg, how scary!

The Rubalcaba Kids: December 2009
http://therubalcabakids.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 26, 2009. Wow - your 1st Christmas was quite a special one! On Christmas Eve, Grandma Nellie, Phil and Nana came up to our house so we could have dinner together. They came to the house with some great Christmas presents for you. Here's a picture of you and Nana enjoying one of your new toys. This one has quickly become one of your favorites! It had snowed the week before, so when we took a walk, your Aunt Jenn showed you what snow felt like. Lately we've been giving you rides in it an...
