Here I am in my early thirties for a few more weeks (35 is mid-thirties folks so please don't judge me when I say I am still in my early thirties! Monday, December 26, 2011. NovoLog, Lantus, lancets, Glucose, insulin.On Thursday our life took a turn, I won't say for the worst because I am already seeing so many great blessings come from it. Jackson our just shy of 3 years old was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It is the kind that will require insulin for the rest of his life! Then we left for a play date with a friend. Friday, May 11, 2012. The best patient ever. She said yes. When we had Jackson they sent us home with a bottle of sterile water, a needle and orange. It is what I used in the hospital to practice. So I let her use a needle and pulled out an ugly cutie (haha! And walked her through it. I video taped it the second time still being coached, but she still did it. Life can be interesting. First Day of School. October 3, 2011. Its getting tough to get a real smile out of this big boy any more. It’s all about HI-YA! With ninja moves, and scary tough guy faces. But, underneath it all is a very determined little boy who wants to be a good boy at school. Carter was very excited about his first day of school. Life can be interesting. May 24, 2011. Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy! JM: “Probably the same bud.” Carter: “What? But I will be 5, and a big boy! 8221; Carter thought he would physically change into a BIG BOY. So funny! The next morning as he got out of the shower he looked into the mirror very intensly trying to find some sort of change in his appearance. He told us that he didn’t look any different now that he was 5. It really puzzled him. Ha Ha! I had to write this down because it was so cute!

Life can be interesting. Evelyn’s Blessing Day. June 9, 2011. I’m always filled with gratitude on my children’s blessing day. Probably because I have all my family around me to welcome to the world our newest arrival. This time wasn’t any different. My sister Janelle, Grandma, and my parents came for a fun weekend to visit with Evelyn. Everyone except my mom hadn’t met her yet. It was fun to show her off. My kids loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa! All in all it was a wonderful day and weekend!

After the movie I drove him to the Disney store where he got to pick out a Cars 2 toy. He picked out Lightening McQueen of course! Sunday, August 8, 2010. Princess and the Frog. We did another dinner and a movie for Disney's Princess and the Frog, We made homemade gumbo, some nasty southern cornbread stuff and the best part was "real man lovin' food" beignets (pronounced bey-YAY) basically fried dough with powdered sugar.
