Monday, March 11, 2013. Recent purchase: a new laptop computer. Windows 8 - I LOVE it! Have always wanted one of those pretty, feminine, quilted laptop cases, so decided to make myself one. Went through my stash and found some pre-quilted fabric, bought several years ago to make a tote bag. Here's what I devised:. A sleeve, with Velcro closure. The most time-consuming detail is the bias-cut binding, which I hand-stitched after turning. It's been a long winter in New England, as it has all over the country.
