We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island from downtown's Pier 52. If you go to Bainbridge, bring cash and go to Blackbird Bakery for a piece of their delicious pie). Thanks to Cheryl for the invite and Joseph for being a former racer of sailboats! A beautiful end-of-summer day. Moon over Seattle skyline. What a great day!

From that day was the 9 or so layers of old wallpaper - dating back to the early days of the house). This used to be the old exterior wall of the house in its first life (sometime in the 20's). There are so many great things to do in the Northwest in the summer it's hard to fit everything in, but we made it happen this weekend and it was fantastic!
