Sunday, December 20, 2015. Christmas and The Polar Express! What a wonderful last week we had together before Christmas break! We played lots of fun Christmas games and did many Christmas-themed learning activities. We decorated our own trees and counted the ornaments. We read around the room with giant candy canes. We did many activities to help us learn about people in the community and the jobs they have to help us. The highlight of our week was dressing up as community helpers and having some of our parents and grandparents come in and tell us about their jobs. Thanks to everyone who made it such a success! Sunday, September 25, 2016. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. This week, we had a fun time with the book, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom." We focused on the letters in the alphabet and the letters in our name. We went on an alphabet hunt and collected the letters around the school. When we got back to our classroom, we had a surprise waiting for us! Sunday, March 20, 2016. We had a fun holiday week celebrating St. Patrick's Day! Our activities had lots of shamrocks, leprechauns, and gold! We wrote about who was worth more to us than gold. We made ourselves into leprechauns and wrote about when we feel lucky. And we wrote about what our luckiest day would be like. We had so much fun sharing those ideas with our friends! Sunday, May 29, 2016. Beach Fun, Magic Capsules, and Leadership Day. This was our last "real" week of school! We had a great time during centers and math with seashells, sand, crabs, sharks, and more! All of our fun beach-themed learning made us excited for summer to be here soon! We also talked about what makes something living or non-living in science. On Wednesday, we celebrated Earth Day and made a fun project and wrote about what we would do to help the Earth. Sunday, February 28, 2016. Sunday, February 21, 2016. 100th Day of School! We finally reached our 100th day of school! The kids were SO excited. We did many fun things on 100 day, like filling up a jar with 100 gumballs, making a 100 monster, writing about what we would like and not like 100 of, and stacking 100 cups!
