Saturday, 12 October 2013. Terryland Forest Park survey 17th August 2013. Numbers way down on previous visits to the transect. Could be signal to the impending season ahead. 41 bumblebees; Butterflies 2 Green-vein White; 5 Speckled Wood; 2 Meadow Brown; 1 Peacock. 1 Common Darter. I did notice about 5 bumblebees dead on the flowers they were feeding on or else they were in a catatonic state. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Terryland Forest Park survey 17th August 2013. birdsgalway: November 2012
http://birdsgalway.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 5 November 2012. Eight weeks of armchair birding and a serious case of cabin fever I went to Nimmo's and was delight to see the Forster's Tern back at its old location on Claddagh Beach. 8-9 years this bird has made its way around Ireland's shore from Wexford to Louth and Galway. Usually accompanied by 4-6 Sandwich Terns. On Saturday a Glaucous Gull put in an appearance for the few who came along for BirdWatch Galway's 1st Saturday walk at Nimmo's. Links to this post. Monday, 18 June 2012. Winter jacket in June! Very cold weather for past few days and the summer solstice is next week. Strange wearing the winter jacket on Saturday and a little strange to see a pair of Tufted Duck at Waterside. Tired a few flight shots at Waterside but the light was poor. The Sparrow was enjoying the small bit of sunshine on Sunday. Links to this post. Monday, 11 June 2012. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Winter jacket in June! Thursday, 22 December 2011. Another possible American Herring Gull. At the pier this week, but it appears confirming AHG for 3rd and 4th winter birds is almost imposssible. But this bird looks good to me for. As it reminds me of the return adult bird which appears at Nimmo's for the pass few years. So will just have to ignore these birds from now on. I did manage to see a sub-species of the Herring Gull in the form of an. Links to this post. Monday, 19 December 2011. Links to this post. Ness Woods, Derry.

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. My Cousin, By Joseph. My cousin, Jayro was 18 when he was killed by fourteen bullets to the head. My cousin lived in the same area where I lived, in 2010. He used to be my best cousin. Even though we fought alot, we had fun. He is still my favorite cousin, even though he's dead.
