Butterscotch and Beesting

Saturday, 1 March 2014. Sometimes I wish I could bottle days like these. Friday, 21 February 2014. This week my mum. Was getting ready for the RHS Show. She only really sells through galleries or in her studio. I'm trying to persuade her to sell online too but she hates the whole selling part of making. I'll keep trying. Thursday, 20 February 2014. She can ride a bike now. No stabilisers or anything. That's big news around these parts. If I had this bike. Thursday, 16 January 2014. Is where I'll be.

Butterscotch and Beesting: April 2013

http://butterscotchandbeesting.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, 25 April 2013. Lots of exciting things happening in the circus tents recently. I've almost finished the new collection which will launch at Pulse. From 12-14 May (I'm even on their front page, so probably best to have everything ready in time). I'll post more peeks of the new collection soon, I promise. I just need to finish it first! If you look closely at the photo, though, you might be able to spy a corner of a couple of the new prints). Monday, 15 April 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Butterscotch and Beesting: Head popping and empty spaces

http://butterscotchandbeesting.blogspot.com/2014/01/head-popping-and-empty-spaces.html

Thursday, 16 January 2014. Head popping and empty spaces. Behind the scenes at Anya Hindmarch's AW campaign. Oh no, wait, that's right. I never wrote them. But I planned them all in my head, and even took photos for some of them. Surely that counts for something. Instead, here are some images from Anya Hindmarch's Autumn/Winter campaign, which is so bursting with inspirational ideas my brain may actually pop. Behind-the-scenes video of the campaign. 17 January 2014 at 22:32. Follow this blog by email.

Friday, 10 May 2013. This weekend I'm launching the new Butterscotch and Beesting collection at Pulse. Everything will be in the shop soon, but in the meantime here are some shots from the new catalogue (. ooo fancy .). I hope you like them. I'll be at stand LP9 if you want to come and say hello. Friday, 3 May 2013. The circus is off to Pulse. Next weekend (12-14 May) I'll be taking the Butterscotch and Beesting Circus Pulse. Here's a sketch of what the stand will look like. The Stuff of Life...: February 2013

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Friday, 8 February 2013. No 4 - buried treasure. This used to be my garden. I worked hard in it and loved it. Over those years it provided me with flowers, fruit, vegetables.and buried treasure! All manner of weird and wonderful bits and pieces emerged f. Rom deep in the soil. As I dug it over. These are my favourites. An old Henderson's Relish bottle, a beautifully worn marble, the head of a china duck, and a fascinating tiny headless figure with something in the crook of its arm. Friday, 1 February 2013.

The Stuff of Life...: Friday Find

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/01/friday-find_25.html

Friday, 25 January 2013. No 3 - a vintage tinware grater. This little beauty was picked up for 30p from the regular Monday flea market that used to take place in Sheffield back in the early 1990's. It's a fantastic bit of kitchenalia and the detailing is really lovely. It's stamped with the Tala brand and probably dates from the 1930-40's. It has a little compartment behind a sliding panel on the back for storing. I love things that are interesting, beautiful and functional. Don't you? The Stuff of Life.

The Stuff of Life...: October 2012

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Monday, 15 October 2012. Warm, autumn days are hard to beat. Saturday was pretty perfect. The day was well and truly seized and packed out with all manner of loveliness.croissants for breakfast, an unexpected table top sale, a long cliff top walk. From Saltburn to Skinningrove. A flask of hot chocolate with Bailey's and pieces of wedding cake, browsing at the farmers market, a quick charity shop rummage, and fish and chips before heading home. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Stuff of Life...: April 2013

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Friday, 26 April 2013. No 7 - vintage metal cabinets. These little beauties are my pride and joy. I bought my first one for £2 from a junk shop in Cardiff when I was at college, and it was love at first sight. Subsequent additions to the collection came in at £4 and £4.50 from long gone junk shops in Sheffield. I love the fact that each one has a different mirror shape and distinctive handle. I confess there are also another two lurking elsewhere in the house, and. Friday, 19 April 2013. It's been a whil...

The Stuff of Life...: One great shade of grey

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/01/one-great-shade-of-grey.html

Friday, 25 January 2013. One great shade of grey. I love the dark grey wall in our conservatory. For the first few months of its life it made a fantastic backdrop for simply arranged flowers, mostly brought in from the garden and dropped into an assortment of jugs, jars and other useful receptacles. It also worked well with Christmas greenery. I'm really looking forward to fresh little posies of Spring flowers taking their place in the coming weeks. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Stuff of Life...: August 2012

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Friday, 31 August 2012. After many years of treasuring and determinedly hanging on to my great grandmother's chair it has finally found its place. It's a funny little chair, very low to the ground. What's known as a nursing chair, I think. It used to sit by the fire in her kitchen and was the perfect cosy spot, in the corner behind the kitchen table, next to the toasting fork and below the cat's head string dispenser. I can't bring myself to remove the layers of its history. Thursday, 30 August 2012.

The Stuff of Life...: Friday Find

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2013/04/friday-find_19.html

Friday, 19 April 2013. No 6 - Wade figures. As a lifelong collecter and hoarder I have boxes full of stuff that doesn't get to see the light of day very often. Things I'm attached to from childhood and bits and bobs I've picked up over the years because I like the look of them. It's time for a clear out! These will be first to go - I've had them since the 1960's, they live in a shoebox and, if Ebay is to be believed, a few of them are very rare and worth a fine penny or two. Along with this little beauty.

The Stuff of Life...: July 2012

http://kettleoffishdesigns.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Friday, 6 July 2012. Rain, rain, go away. They say cows lie down when it's going to rain. Well, by my reckoning they can't be doing much standing up at the moment. Here's some to bring you hope! Though I think these could be bulls and they might not have the same powers. Monday, 2 July 2012. So, Kettle of Fish passed the 300 'likes' mark on Facebook and I want to celebrate and say thank you with a giveaway. This is what's up for grabs. . . . . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Everything you don't need to know, all piled up into one simply long blog! December 7, 2009. At 12:33 am by butterscotch617. Yeah, I know what you’re all thinking:. What the heck is Break-aThon? Well, buddy, peeps, etc., break-a-thon is kind of simple, really. It’s breaks! It seemed like just yesterday we were waiting for Thanksgiving break to come, and now we’re waiting for Christmas break! I’m not complaining, though. I love how it’s all really close. What’s wrong with breaks? WE NEED MORE OF THEM!

Sunday, 17 January 2016. Happy times with new friends. What is this thing called chemistry? What makes one person different from any other to a point whereby I can 'hit it off' as great friends within seconds? When with others, you just know the greeting will be just that. Nothing more, nothing less than a hello. Then we sat on a bench watching the Disney fireworks before catching the bus back to the Anaheim convention centre. Happy times. Saturday, 7 November 2015.
