loniemay: December 2008
http://loniemay.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 14 December 2008. How to revitalise hand-me-downs? Later, love hearts. I went a little crazy with this idea (I have only shown a few of those completed) but how could I resist such a quick-fix sewing project? Labels: i made it. Friday, 12 December 2008. I spent a couple of evenings this week preparing a custom order for a new baby living in Hong Kong. The specs were for a dress that was fairly plain on the outside but with an animal theme. Green cotton dress with turtle lining, trim and buttons.

Wednesday, 15 April 2009. This makes me happy :). Sound of Music: belgian Train Station. I picked this game up from The Lark. S blog. Just type "unfortunately, [your first name]" into Google (including the quotation marks) and see what comes up. Leona is not going to make it as a singer. Leona's uncompromising nature ultimately landed her a long-term stay at a federal facility. Leona is required to remain in Verdandi form when using this spell. Our elephant was a little greedy guts, and unfortunately.

loniemay: choc-orange self-saucing pudding recipe
http://loniemay.blogspot.com/2009/10/choc-orange-self-saucing-pudding-recipe.html
Thursday, 15 October 2009. Choc-orange self-saucing pudding recipe. Yummmmm. I was craving jaffas this week but as a vegan who doesn't eat chocolate, I can't have them. So instead I invented a jaffa pudding. I have shown you the mainstream ingredients but my vegan carob version is given in brackets. 3/4 cup soft brown sugar. 1 1/2 Tablespoons cocoa (or carob) powder. 1 cup boiling water. Juice of 1 orange. Place all ingredients in a greased, high-sided casserole dish and stir until the sugar is melted.

Rows 4-9: repeat rows 1-3 two more times. Repeat rows 10-11 until you have 27 rows of straight stitch. Cut yarn and transfer to a stitch holder. To get the ba...

loniemay: October 2008
http://loniemay.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 26 October 2008. This is . something I'm surprised that I like. Or, more specifically, weeding the garden. The damn weeds and especially the buffalo grass grow so much more quickly than I have time to remove them. So I look at the garden and feel sad that it so out of control. Yet, when I do get a chance, I realise that gardening is fun! Such a good way to unwind. Tuesday, 21 October 2008. This is . my favourite film. David Lynch ( Eraserhead. The tv series); Wild at Heart. The Baby of Macon.

Saturday, 16 August 2008. Travelogue - Suzhou Silk Museum. Internet access has so far been quite limited on this trip but I still wanted to post while things are fresh in my mind. Crafty highlight of our three days in Shanghai, China, was our visit to the Suzhou Silk Museum. The peaceful mulberry garden demonstrates the various types of mulberry bushs that serve as the silk worms' diet. Cocoons in the sericultural room. Each variety of silorm produces a noticeably different cocoon. Upon arriving in Suzho...

Thursday, 19 February 2009. The logic behind the egg obsession. You may be wondering why I bothered to knit 6 eggs. They range freely in the back yard and lay their eggs in the garden. Which was working well until the very hot weather, when we couldn't find any of the eggs and assumed that they were off the lay. Until one day a couple of weeks later when we heard a chicken crooning deep inside an overgrown garden bed. So I sent Olive off investigating . And she found . Wednesday, 18 February 2009. As abo...
