Button Tree Crafts: 2014 ~ Looking Back

http://buttontreecrafts.blogspot.com/2015/01/2014-looking-back.html

Monday, 5 January 2015. It's that wonderful time of the blogging year that allows you to go through your archives and have a look back at all the lovely everyday things that might be otherwise might be forgotten if they hadn't been blogged about. Here is my yearly roundup for 2014. January 2014 I started the year by trying to get out and about a bit more in the fresh air and took some very nice, but bracing walks along one of our beautiful beaches. May 2014 whilst we were so close to the centre of Paris ...

You will need :. 250 grams of oats. 250 grams of unsalted butter. 125 grams of soft brown sugar. 125 grams of chopped soft stoned dates. 60 grams of chopped walnuts. Just rece...

Button Tree Crafts: October 2014

http://buttontreecrafts.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, 31 October 2014. This year my children have taken it upon themselves to be very busy little bees and have been getting very crafty making things to decorate the house ready for Halloween. They are now of an age where they don't really need to be supervised all of the time and can be left to their own devices so to speak! However, this is her finished pumpkin all lit up with a tea light not bad at all for her very first attempt at it! More black and orange card has been cut out into all manner of ...

Button Tree Crafts: February 2014

http://buttontreecrafts.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Friday, 28 February 2014. Happy Birthday to me! It was my birthday at the beginning of the week, and I had the most lazy kind of day you could possibly imagine. I was treated to breakfast in bed, which was then followed by some lovely presents from my other half and the not so little people. My presents included some rather colourful spotty dotty new slippers and a selection of lovely smelly goodies from Lush which I absolutely love. In the evening we all went out for a family meal to our local Chinese r...

Gingercat: July 2011

http://gingercatcrafts.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

A little glimpse into my crafting, cat loving world! Friday, 29 July 2011. Hello, well we have survived the first week of the Summer holidays and I think we have settled nicely into our holiday routine. It has been so lovely not having to do any work of any sort, it feels rather strange. Here is Danesfield in all of it's glory, such a shame the it didn't live up to our expectations. The Centre Parcs weekend is very well timed as we are going the day after Daisy finishes taking her 2nd 11 paper. The d...

The Antidote: Spotty

http://lucylisle.typepad.com/the_antidote/2010/02/spotty.html

February 22, 2010. I really do feel compelled to share my latest little bargain today as I know there will be a like minded knitter/crocheter out there who will appreciate this.  This perfect wool stashing bag was snapped up at the weekend from Primark for a mere 6. Whilst I have issues with some of the ethics of these bargain shops,  Mrs K would happily charge me 50 for such an item.  I have issues with that too! My new crochet bag is perfect and I love it so.  Go buy. Feb 22, 2010 1:27:30 PM. It would ...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I have a dream. Today was the day of the school fete, and yesterday I was busy beavering away making cakes for the school, and picking flowers to make up some bouquets for our WI stand. By bedtime last night, the cakes had been made and iced. The flowers had been picked and were resting in our garage ready to be arranged in the morning. Its just something that I love to do. Here are some of the flowers. What do you think? The first of this seasons dahlias went into this one. I hav...

kitchen crafter: Let the Shopping Commence!

http://kitchencrafter.blogspot.com/2009/11/let-shopping-commence.html

Monday, November 16, 2009. Let the Shopping Commence! On Thursday my friend Sarah and I met up in London for a pilgrimmage to the Country Living Fair. Due to the trains we arrived about midday, so were determined to get started as soon as possible! I know that lots of other bloggers went too, and not having been before myself I couldn't believe how crowded it was. But there were soooo many pretty things! I had taken a trolley on wheels to put things in, and was soon causing traffic jams in the aisles.

kitchen crafter: September 2009

http://kitchencrafter.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 21, 2009. I ran the Great North Run yesterday to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. It was a brilliant event, super atmosphere, 54,000 runners, so many people raising money for good causes. The sun shone and the weather was beautiful, but crikey was it a hot run! Luckily there was lots of water enroute, and water tunnels to run through, and the atmosphere and buzz from the other runners really carried me along up and down all the hills. Thursday, September 17, 2009. Bringing it all ins...

kitchen crafter: August 2009

http://kitchencrafter.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 28, 2009. I don't know how it has been where you are but after an initial sunny start to the day this morning - hence washing on the line and two little people and me venturing out to the shops in summer clothes and sunglasses - the weather here suddenly turned very blustery and VERY rainy! Leaves started to fall from the trees, the temperature dropped and I could have sworn it was autumn! Just what I need. Would you like to see inside? Look at these beautiful Russian music boxes. There ar...

Lucy's Loves in Life. The loves and life of a modern career woman who enjoys the old fashioned things in life. Sunday, 30 August 2009. I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend with the prospect of a lovely extra day off tomorrow for all of us in the UK- hoooray! Right, I will start this post with a list of my five current obsessions. it really was tricky narrowing the list down to just five things, but here goes in no particular order:. Here is a photo of my blanket in progress- hmmm,. Now, I think a...

Buttons Treasures

Blog focused on button collecting including both vintage sewing buttons and pinback buttons.d all things button related. Saturday, February 15, 2014. After a VERY long hiatus, we've decided to reactivate this blog. I know, 4 years is way too long to be gone, but a lot of stuff was going on during that time and the blog simply fell by the wayside. Now that "regular posting has begun again, we've decided to add pinback buttons to our blog as well. Occasionally I would look for a button for a particular fan...

The Button Tree | A place where memories, photos and ideas are shared

A place where memories, photos and ideas are shared. So I’m really gonna do this…. August 6, 2009. I’ve always loved to write. I used to joke in college that I would rather write a 20 page paper than take a test. I loved putting my thoughts into words and feeling accomplished at the end of it. My favorite type of writing was always when it was something historical that I could get involved in the story. Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com. Blog at WordPress.com.

Buttontree Lane

Monday, February 26, 2018. I’ll admit I was a little recalcitrant on the blogging side of things last year but I’m not apologising. So how's life for me? Remember how I used to make project bags for knitters and crocheters for about 8 years and then I retired from bag making in November 2015? Well I really missed the thrill of buying lovely new fabrics and crafting them into something both beautiful and useful. And I missed the interactions with customers and the thrill of an irregular shop update. It's ...
