由於相機在捕捉影像的時候是由快門簾的收放中間的秒差來進行曝光, 如果快門簾打開時間過長, 相機振動時所產生的軌跡就會全部紀錄在相片中而造成模糊或是殘影,這就是我們所謂的"手震". 雖然我們知道快門不能太慢 可是有時候光線不足 以至於亮度不足以完成曝光 這時候便要藉由增加光線或是放慢快門來達到完美曝光,增加光線我們可以採用閃光燈或是大光圈鏡頭 前者不方便,後者昂貴, 所以現在許多鏡頭機身紛紛採用放慢快門並以防手震模組來修正震動所造成的問題. 請看Canon官網詳細說明: Canon IS 光學防手震系統.
