Saturday, July 7, 2012. Italy 2012. Panarea, Isole Eolie. Next up was Panarea, the smallest in a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea known as the Aeolian Islands. Just north of Messina, Sicily. This is the island where my Mother's side of the family is from. Some people can trace their heritage back to Arkansas, but I get Panarea. Lucky, huh? Tuesday, October 11, 2011. There is nothing quite like a quick Indian Summer jaunt up to Ptown now is there? The seashore here is just amazing, with sweeping dunes and bike and walking paths for miles. Ptown is of course many things to many people - gay mecca with theme weekends from Bears to Baby Dykes, sleepy off season oceanside retreat, home for arists and writers. the list is endless. The one thing I suppose everyone falls in love with when they come here though, is the landscape. Links to this post.
