Over all it was an interesting experience learning about lighthouse construction especially the infamous Fresnel “First Order” lense. Our scrapbook of travels. October 17, 2016. Well it’s been a while since we posted on our blog. We took about two weeks to drive from the East Coast to the West Coast of the US which made for some long days of driving. We are now in Florence, Oregon volunteering with the Oregon State Parks at the Heceta Head Lighthouse.
