Finding Community in an Independent State: May 2007
http://pickingupstitches.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Finding Community in an Independent State. What is the relationship between community and independence? This is a topic I have been thinking a lot about recently. It seems that modern culture, particularly in the US, is so obsessed with independence that community has fallen by the way-side. Ironically, a healthy community is a key ingredient to independence and personal freedom. Maybe community and independence aren't antonyms after all. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Buckwheat Bridge Angoras: January 2010
http://buckwheatbridgeangoras.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. What Time Is It? It's Kidding Time ( almost )! The first of this year's kid crop is due to start arriving on Feb. 17th. We've spent the past 2 months processing fiber - lots of fiber. Now that we are just about finished with the 2009 clip of mohair and wool, we'll be shearing the nannies next week and we'll start right in with 2010. It seems that there really isn't a time when there isn't some fiber to process. Clean the barn and kidding stalls. CDT - each kid gets 1cc. Pricha...

Threadblossom: New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival
http://threadblossom.blogspot.com/2009/07/we-had-marvelous-time-at-new-hampshire.html
Thursday, July 16, 2009. New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival. We had a marvelous time at the New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival. It was my favorite Mother's Day ever! Now if that didn't deserve my $30 then what does? I had a lovely time talking to the woman who raised the animals, processed the wool, and spun the yarn all on her own farm in northern New York. The name of the farm is Buckwheat Bridge Angoras. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I knit, sew, crochet or do all three every day!
