What I'm Up To. Eventually we made it to the beach for a lovely few hours; we are in the Caribbean after all! After returning to Santo Domingo, we went out for a nice tapas dinner at Plaza España. What I'm Up To. The last two weekends have been full of fun as I’ve experienced some of the most-recommended things to do here in the DR. The biggest is Carnaval. The craziness is just multiplied. I’ve gone to La Vega, the largest parade in the country, the last two weekends, and the blowout finale of Carnaval will be here in Santo Domingo this coming Sunday.
