Animals and other gods. Animals and other gods. Animals and other gods. Is a series of artworks reflecting on the struggle between the need to distance ourselves from our animalistic, primitive nature (or dominate it), and the inherent desire for contact with it. The images, taken from my own childhood mythology, explore the transition some animals have made in our psyche from deity to service-provider, from envied to enslaved, and their subsequent anthropomorphisation. Ink and mixed media on paper.
