Quilted Reversible Sling Bag. April 26, 2015. May 1, 2015. Another Project Run and Play Monthly Challenge. Pattern: This is the Reversible Sling Bag by Sugar Bee Crafts. But it wasn’t perfect piecing at all, and clearly it’s a first attempt, so I hacked away. The quilt batting is just some extra fleece I had hanging around. I managed to do the whole thing without spending any money. Scaled down by 50%. I really should have started out with solids. There’s a direction to the triangles and th...Not so much...

January 19, 2015. January 31, 2015. Sewn for Project Run and Play’s. Pattern: Based on Alida’s Bubble Dress. Plus the bodice from Sew Easy Being Green. With very small changes to the shape of the neckline. Fabric: Wool blend from Ragtime Fabrics. Problems: Oh my word, figuring out the right side/wrong side/inside/outside business. I thought it through over and over and in the end… the lining is inside out (so those fraying edges… yeah, totally exposed. But I’ll finish them off). January 16, 2015. Create ...

KCW Project #1: Mommy Dress to Lottie Dress | Sewn

KCW Project #1: Mommy Dress to Lottie Dress. February 3, 2015. February 4, 2015. Behold this lovely dress. Bright and springy, lovely drape, flattering cut…. 8230;and also way too small for me. It was one of my favorites back before Lottie was born, so I hung on to it, I guess with some notion that I would lose critical bone mass, maybe? Pattern: I used the bodice from The Cottage Mama Summer Picnic Dress. KCW Project #2 Valentine’s Jammies →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Notify m...

And the Tiered Maxi Skirt by Make It and Love It. 8221; Wee seamstress in the making! May 6, 2015.

Baby Goodies | Sewn
https://sewnbylj.wordpress.com/2015/01/31/baby-goodies
January 31, 2015. January 31, 2015. One of this week’s projects was this little dress set for a high school friend who is expecting a baby girl. I forgot how tiny newborn clothes are. And it kind of makes me want to squeal. Pattern: Eh, just kind of made it up. It’s similar to a toddler pattern I have, and I referenced an infant pattern for size. The bloomers are from Melly Sews. It wouldn’t have worked with most fabrics, but these sheets, man. They’re working hard. It came out nice a...KCW Project #1: M...

Mini Mod Peacock Dress. June 1, 2015. June 1, 2015. Sewn for… a distraction from a super anxious and stressful week. Pattern: This is the Mini Mod Dress by Sewing in No Mans Land. It looks like she has taken her patterns down temporarily, I think to scale them up or something, but they’ll be back. I’ve sewn this pattern I think three times now. It’s such a quick sew and such a cute fit. I shortened the sleeves a bit. Mini Mod Peacock Dress. Quilted Reversible Sling Bag. On Pink Princess Dress.

June 15, 2015. December 11, 2015. June’s challenge for Project Run and Play is dress-up dresses, with an Elsa and Cinderella dress tutorial. Lengthening and adding extra volume to the front and back pieces of a tunic pattern with puffed sleeves. The pattern seemed a great choice as the design features a slightly elasticised neckline, removing the need for any closures and making it easy to take on and off. The skirt can be worn over the dress, teamed with a t-shirt or even over the tulle skirt. Again H w...

I’ve Been Featured! September 21, 2014. This week’s Project Run and Play. Challenge was to remake hand-me-downs into something new. I was feeling uninspired by making something for my girls for this challenge, but I thought it might be fun to take one of my brother-in-law’s old shirts and make it into something for my brand new nephew. I have not done a whole lot for boys yet. I’ve made a couple vests and pants. Okay, I know everyone is waiting to see pictures of the tiny baby…so here he is! Funny story:...

I’ve Been Featured! September 9, 2014. I am back for another season of Project Run and Play! The first challenge this cycle is one of my favorites from all the cycles…Eighties Cartoons! There was so much to choose from and I knew I would be able to come up with something fun from lots of different cartoons. So, we’ll start with Cheer Bear Esther since that was my jumping off point. All the curved seams! For our little Funshine Bear Miriam, I also used the Tea Party. This I wanted to look like the sun...
