As the name probably suggests, this blog has no particular reason for being. Albert Schweitzer said . There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats.". Fortunately, I have both. This reminds me of the 1960s, when "playlists" involved reel-to-reel recorders, real-time recording, vinyl albums, time, and frustration. If I wanted music for a party that I expected to last 4 hours, it took me at least 8 hours to create the tapes. Today I can schedule 18, 24,. Black is Black (Los Bravos).

Bill's Occasional Photo Blog: July 2007
http://wfbphoto.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 7, 2007. Too many photos are made during the middle of the day in light that can best be described as illuminating but not very interesting. If you venture out early in the morning (maybe even before dawn) or late in the afternoon (maybe even after dusk), you'll find that your photos take on a new look. Not very usable, is it? The sky and the sun have a bit of detail, but the trees are down in the mud. I can try adjusting the exposure to get some detail in the trees:. Later in the day .

Random Thoughts: The Sony "rootkit" fiasco
http://bbrandomthoughts.blogspot.com/2005/11/sony-rootkit-fiasco.html
As the name probably suggests, this blog has no particular reason for being. The Sony "rootkit" fiasco. Was everyone out to lunch on the day Sony came up with this brilliant plan? In the past, I've purchased quite a bit of Sony hardware and some of the company's CDs. Although I won't say that I'll never purchase anything with the Sony or BMG name on it, I do know that it's going to be quite some time before I even consider it. Posted by Bill Blinn @ 19:37. Random Thoughts: Liberal commie pinko freak cop hater?
http://bbrandomthoughts.blogspot.com/2005/11/liberal-commie-pinko-freak-cop-hater.html
As the name probably suggests, this blog has no particular reason for being. Liberal commie pinko freak cop hater? Today my brother-in-law called. My niece wanted to go home to Wheeling from Columbus, but had no gas money. Would I meet her at a gas station and fill the car with gas? Sure I'd been planning to leave work early, anyway, because the allergy that causes my nose to run every year about this time was operating in full force today. The officer with the intervention insignia knocked on the apartm...

Random Thoughts: How we use music today
http://bbrandomthoughts.blogspot.com/2005/12/how-we-use-music-today.html
As the name probably suggests, this blog has no particular reason for being. How we use music today. This evening I created a music playlist in Itunes. If I owned a radio station, this is the kind of music I'd play and nobody would listen. This playlist is nearly 260 songs and about 16.5 hours worth of music. Rock, zydeco, country, folk, 1-hit wonders, swing, jazz, easy listening, blues, soundtrack, big band, and bluegrass. You name it and it's there. Round Midnight (Monk, Thelonious). Bottle of Wine (Fi...
