Byteshift Webdesign Berlin - Alistapart: Unechte Spalten (Faux Columns)
http://alistapart.byteshift.de/fauxcolumns

Python Trikes - Openbike
http://en.openbike.org/wiki/Python_Trikes
Unlike the Hipparion trikes. Which have a similar frame geometry and also negative trail, the Python trikes do not necessarily use a steering damper and the front part of the frame is different in that the "chain stays" come from bottom up rather than from above. Also the Hipparion's steering pivot angle is smaller (53.1 ) than the Python's (63 4 ). Boris Maretzke, Germany. Jinlin Wen, China. Mark Schaaf, Germany. Howard Stevens Mk1, Australia. Self centering effect - Openbike
http://en.openbike.org/wiki/Self_centering_effect
On the python mailing list there has been a lot of talk about the self centering effect of the python. When you sit on your python you can feel the python straitening up. The seat position is lowest when the bike is straight. When you turn the seat goes up. I do not know if this is very relevant to the stability of the bicycle, but it does effect how the bicycle feels. It certainly does not feel like a flevo. Following settings were used - -trying to emulate Jürgens bike):. Seat height versus trail.

Before you raise any objection against the negative trail of the pythons, have a look at the Frame Geometry Page on phyton-lowracer.de. The destabilizing effect that NT normally has on dynamic bike behaviour is satisfactorily compensated by the "hanging pendulum" effect and gyro forces. Retrieved from " http:/ en.openbike.org/wiki? Wheel Flop - Openbike
http://en.openbike.org/wiki/Wheel_Flop
It is the tendency for the python not to stretch out, when taking place on the python. In that case. if you steer the front part of balance, the self centering upward force will be smaller then the weight pushing the front part down, causing the front part to slam down onto the ground. You should only notice wheel flop with very low (badly chosen) pivot angles. Retrieved from " http:/ en.openbike.org/wiki? All content subject to Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0.

Welding tips - Openbike

Tips for electrode welding for total beginners. Tips for electrode welding for total beginners. Written by a guy who used to be the same total beginner just about two months ago :-) ). For welding transformers with AC output, use rutile electrodes. Usually you can just walk in a shop and ask for electrodes for a transformer welder and they will give you the right ones (worked for me). Welding inverters with DC output can use both rutile and basic electrodes. Always position the assembly so that the inten...
