Two 'wrinklies' go travelling! Sunday, January 07, 2007. The South Island of New Zealand has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Not often I run out of words, but there are no words to describe it. At every twist ond turn in the road there is another magnificent view. At present I am typing this with the most stunning view of Mount Cook out of the window! There have been so many fantastic sights and experiences in the last few days that we will be boring you all with them for months to come!

Two 'wrinklies' go travelling! Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Fairly effortless journey to get here, but very tired! Slept for 11 hours - obviously the hectic pace of life in HK had got to us. Have been to Raffles for English High Tea - even better than the Peninsula HK! Had a good wander around the amazing hotel - one day we will stay there - when we have won the lottery! Two 'wrinklies' go travelling! Sunday, January 28, 2007. At present in LA waiting for flight home - that is if British Airways are flying! At the moment it looks as if we can get to London, but not to Jersey. Will have to wait and see what happens! Hawaii was good, although the old bodies are feeling the strain, so we did as we said and chilled out in the sunshine. Went on some interesting trips, including one to the Big Island that involved a 3.50am start - that wasn't a chill out day! Love to all xx.

Sunday, November 26, 2006. I am still here. I still exist. It has, I admit, been an unprecedented gap between posts this time. Lots has been happening of course, not least that my parents have now set off on their three month adventure round the world, which is most exciting, and has made my trip to New Zealand etc at Christmas seem to come round much faster. Also, very many congratulations to Pete and Helen, who got engaged on Friday night. Another wedding to look forward to, it's all just fab! Pirates ...

Saturday, January 06, 2007. In January last year, I made some resolutions. I later added number 8. I reviewed them in May. And now is the time, following a whole year, to review them again. 1 Learn to play the sax. 2 Learn to speak Italian again. 3 Watch more films. 4 Try to get less injuries. 5 Make a good attempt at the ITEX walk. 6 Do as much travelling as possible. 7 Get more sleep. 8 Spend more time exploring London. Two 'wrinklies' go travelling! Wednesday, January 10, 2007. At present at Robert and Jennifer's in Wanganui. They are being incredibly hospitable and welcoming. It is great to be in New Zealand accompanied by local knowledge. We were taken to the local pub last night and on a trip around their delightful little town today. Two 'wrinklies' go travelling! Friday, December 15, 2006. Plane from Perth was 4 hours late, so when we got to Melbourne all we could do was collapse. Went out adventuring the next day and decided what we would leave until the following day, so that we could have time to enjoy it.
